In the vein of hit features as To All The Boys I've Loved Before, The Spectacular Now, and modern classics like Say Anything and the Oscar winning Breaking Away, this visually arresting, coming-of-age story is a love letter to youthful romance and the city of Savannah. It's the tale of a young Savannah Francophile, who falls for a talented but lonely fashion student from the city’s prestigious art and design college. She mistakes him for a French film student, an error he fails to correct, liking that she thinks him to be college educated and French to boot. But as their relationship blossoms, the innocent lie snowballs, and his attempts to keep up appearances soon threatens his new love, tests old friendships, and reveals a family secret that shatters his world.

A dynamic period feature film, taken from actual accounts, dealing with race relations, generational bonds and coming-of-age at the precipice of this country's most volatile decade, in one of its most exciting cities. In the vein of timely films such as Hidden Figures, Green Book, and Ava DuVarnay's Selma, Miami Carver explores the relationships and events that led Martin Luther King Jr. to the Miami home of retired, Jewish, Overtown hotel owner, for an historic impromptu dinner in the summer of 1959.

When a snafu in the admissions office renders a British transfer student as ”unenrolled” from her dream school, Hannah finds herself stuck a strange country and an even stranger town. Broke, proud, and resolved to never return home, she must find a way to survive in the alien, antebellum world of Savannah, Georgia. Inspired by series like Sweet Bitter, Fleabag and Euphoria.
